WHAT WE DO

Our Speech Pathologist assess, diagnose and treat communication and swallowing difficulties. We work with people across the lifespan, from infants to adults, who experience difficulties with speech, language, literacy, social communication and mealtimes.

OUR AREAS OF PRACTICES

  • Early intervention – for young children with developmental delays, emerging play and communication difficulties or late talkers
  • Speech – Pronunciation and clarity
  • Language – Understanding and using words and sentences
  • Literacy – Reading, spelling and writing
  • Social communication/Pragmatics – Turn-taking, engaging in conversations and non-verbal cues
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication – Communication tools e.g. devices, visuals
  • Play skills – Imaginative and social play
  • Mealtimes – Safe eating
  • Family and Team collaboration – Working closely with parents/caregivers, educators and support staff or other therapist
  • Assessment – Assessment of your/your child’s/young person’s skills
